  • 2 cups glutinous rice flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • 1. Mix glutinous rice flour and water in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  • 2. In a pan, melt sugar over medium heat until it turns into a caramel color.
  • 3. Slowly add the caramelized sugar into the flour mixture, stirring constantly.
  • 4. Add vegetable oil and vanilla extract, mix well.
  • 5. Pour the mixture into a greased mold or dish.
  • 6. Steam for about 60 minutes or until the cake is set.
  • 7. Let it cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Ensure the caramel doesn't burn by keeping a close eye on it while melting.
